The powerful design of this industrial dining table is tribute to one of the most famous and ingenious engineers of the Industrial Revolution, Isambard Brunel. Brunel is credited for ideating many prolific civil-engineering concepts for railways, steamboats and bridges. Many of his innovative designs are still in-use today.
The Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Railway Bridge at Maidenhead are two of Brunel’s most historic projects; Rustic Deco designers have merged the architectural features of these two iconic bridges to offer you this precision-crafted industrial table.
We’ve coupled the clean vertical lines associated with Brunel’s suspension bridge with the elliptical arches of his railway bridge to yield the sleek yet sturdy steel stretcher that spans between the table’s heavy steel bases. To support the table’s 2-inch thick solid hardwood top, we’ve integrated a channeled steel-frame underlayment with brass embellished corners to emphasize Brunel’s railway concepts.
The height and bevel of this magnificent table can be adjusted from 30 to 36 inches via turning the bolt-threaded ornately detailed brass feet, allowing it to function has a standard-height dining table, a counter-height table or a pub table. The table’s 120" hardwood top is stained ebony and sealed for a smooth finish.
Dimensions (inches): 120W x 40D x 30-36H.
